A podcast adblock has to work on the audio itself. It finds the ad segments and cuts them out before your app downloads the episode.
Blame dynamic ad insertion: the episode and its ads arrive as one stream. Block the ads and you’ve blocked the show.
The same limit applies to podcast apps themselves: no app can skip baked-in ads on its own. And no, Spotify Premium doesn’t remove them either.
